Optimization Standards & Budgets
Quality assurance standards, Texel density guidelines, draw call limits, and collision geometry specifications.
1. Consistent Texel Density
All assets within the HAN ecosystem are calibrated to a uniform Texel Density of 10.24 px/cm (1024 px/m). This ensures visual coherence when combining modular pieces from different packages in the same level.
2. Material Slot & Draw Call Budgets
To maximize performance in dense scenes:
- Single Material per Mesh: 95% of individual props use a single master material ID to minimize draw calls.
- Packed Texture Sets: Roughness, Metallic, and Ambient Occlusion are packed into a single texture map to reduce sampler counts.
- Instanced Static Meshes (ISM / HISM): All modular architectural pieces are designed for hierarchical foliage / instance painting.
3. Custom Convex Collision Geometry
Every prop and architectural wall includes hand-crafted simplified collision hulls (UCX_) ensuring accurate player movement without expensive complex triangle collision overhead.
All assets are thoroughly tested in 60+ FPS target benchmark levels on contemporary GPU hardware (RTX 3060 / 4060 and equivalent console profiles).
